After our mid-term presentation, where we recieved some interesting comments and ideas for our further developement of the wall, we took a step back.
We took a step back from the digital software and decided to draw out our thoughts and ideas....back to the drawing board. We are now taking a more simple approach to the design and then working towards the digital. Not so much letting the software drive our design, but our design driving the software!
The pinUp space is something that can not have a random form, it has to have a function. It can not be just any size. It has to have restrictions and parameters.
Things we are considering now...
the size of the pinup wall sections
human scale
new materials
weight
drawing sizes
We kind of got lost in the programs and have to go back to the basics of building and designing. We want to take what we have learned from grasshopper, digital project, and rhino to push the envelope even further and design a unique and interactive pinUp space.
special thanks to our jury members...Steve Cooke and Stan Russell
